Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He blends soul gospel jazz with R&B for a distinctive blend. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's birth name is Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by singing and playing piano at church. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single with her voice on it,"Stalk You the House, is only available in Japan. It's been re-mixed several times, and has become a staple of her live performances. Her voice also appeared on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony Award winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine earned national fame through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She got invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
